I have been involved in Information Technology from its early beginnings (and before it was a major
industry), I have successfully led many teams in evaluating and developing solutions that meet
specific business needs in system performance, information security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
Having been involved in 7/24 Customer Support positions from the early 70's, I have successfully
supported mainframes, servers, and desktops in both hardware and software troubleshooting.
I started studying computer technology in a special program here in Seattle in 1966. This program
was a forerunner to the Running Start Program where High School students spent half a day at their
respective High Schools, then spent an additional four hours at a Technical College studying computers.
Completing that program, I graduated and went into the service where I spent nearly 2 years studying
how to design, build, program and maintain computers and peripherals for the US Navy. After spending
four years at sea practicing what I had learned in class I was selected to design and teach classes
in advanced computer systems.
Since then I have worked in most facets of the industry concentrating on distributed computing since
the early 90's and networking since the late 90's.
